What is a creator code?

Some programs give each creator a discount code, such as RAE10. A sale using your code is credited to you with no click at all, and with no cookie window — the shopper named you. A code beats a click from another creator.

An action that pays once per visitor (a sign-up, say) is never paid by code, because a code cannot tell visitors apart.
