How are video views and shares measured?

You connect TikTok, Instagram or YouTube in one click — read-only, Affily never posts — and enter your videos. Affily reads their numbers from the platform through your own connection, so nobody can type a number in or enter someone else’s video.

Only videos posted after the competition starts can be entered, up to 10 each. Numbers are re-read every few hours. At the end they are taken as they stand and frozen; a reading more than a day late isn’t used, and the last one before the end counts instead.

Instagram shares numbers for business and creator accounts only. YouTube reports shares a couple of days late, so those are read for three days after the end.
